Communication - Single Side Band

Single side band utilizes only one of the two AM sidebands and also suppresses the carrier frequency in transmission. The Single side band signal is just under one half the bandwidth of the double sideband conventional AM signal . Having a single side band is very useful if you plan on being out in the far sea far away from the coast line.
