Man Over Board Devices are very important and can be a life saver if someone goes over board. How a man over board device works is your  smartphone  and the device is connected and if that connection is broken by water your smart phone signals an alarm and records the GPS position of the person wearing the  device. A man overboard device can also provide updates of the overboard person, and the person last known position.
