A marine sanitation is used to treat the vessels sewage.  There are different parts to marine sanitation system. There is the toilet and the holding tank for your waste.  These devices use a combination of maceration and disinfection to treat vessel sewage. After pulverizing the solids, the effluent is then disinfected with chlorine tablets, that reduce bacteria levels to below the established limits under the Clear Water Act.
