The ACT 600290 XACT Streetlite Flywheel is a lightweight, high-performance replacement designed to improve engine response and acceleration in street and drag racing applications. Its reduced rotating mass helps the engine rev more quickly while maintaining the strength, heat tolerance, and rigidity required for dependable performance. This flywheel must be used with a 1994 or newer 1.8L clutch kit.

ACT manufactures the Streetlite flywheel from a heat-treated forging and machines it with CNC equipment for precise fit and consistent balance. The one-piece construction promotes uniform heat transfer from the clutch disc while eliminating common failure points associated with loose ring gears or warped inserts. An induction-hardened ring gear is designed for extended service life, and the flywheel can be resurfaced when required without purchasing additional replacement parts. Mild gear rattle may occur because of the reduced flywheel mass.

The ACT 600290 is engineered for smooth, reliable operation at high engine speeds and is suitable for performance-oriented street vehicles and race applications. It fits select Mazda Miata models from 1994 through 1999, including 1.8L applications, and is backed by ACT’s one-year warranty. This automotive flywheel is not CARB approved and may carry a California Proposition 65 warning.
