The lightweight, rigid design allows for quicker shifts and smooth, trouble-free service. With the 6-pad rigid race disc, engagement is harsher, but shifting is faster. The 6-pad rigid race disc is recommended for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat. The ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate uses an exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection, and help maximize clutch service life. Each diaphragm undergoes a four-stage heat-treating process, while the precision cover stamping promotes rigidity and consistent operation.

The rigid six-pad disc uses high-quality ceramic friction material for excellent heat tolerance and fast shifting. Its heat-treated chrome-moly hub is engineered for strength and durability, and the lightweight construction supports quick gear changes. This design provides light to moderate pedal effort with aggressive engagement and increased gear rattle. Because engagement is harsher and the rigid disc may increase spline wear, the kit is recommended for race use only and is best suited to larger clutch applications that can absorb more heat.
