The Heavy Duty pressure plate uses an exclusive diaphragm design and a four-stage heat-treating process for improved strength, service life, and release consistency. Precision cover stampings enhance rigidity, while every pressure plate is 100% clamp-load tested and dynamically computer balanced. The included rigid race disc features select ceramic friction material and a heat-treated chrome-moly hub for durability under demanding conditions. Its lightweight construction supports quicker shifts, although the rigid disc produces more aggressive engagement and increased gear rattle than a sprung disc.

The ACT TS6-HDR6 is recommended for race use only and is particularly suited to larger clutch applications where additional heat absorption is beneficial.
