The AEM 22-Channel CAN Sensor Module, Part Number 30-2212, converts analog, digital, and frequency-based sensor inputs into an AEMnet CAN bus signal for display on compatible AEM CD-5 Carbon and CD-7 Digital Dashes. It is an effective expansion solution for carbureted vehicles being upgraded with a CD Dash, as well as EFI applications that need additional channels for display and data logging. Data logging requires a CD-5L Carbon or CD-7L logging dash.
The module includes multiple dedicated and configurable inputs for monitoring engine, vehicle, and chassis data. Six protected digital inputs support frequency, duty-cycle, or simple switch signals, while four jumper-selectable analog inputs can be configured for 0-5-volt, thermistor, or RTD sensors. Additional inputs include four dedicated temperature channels, four dedicated 0-5-volt channels, two VR frequency input pairs, one tachometer input, and one fuel-level input supporting a 0 to 250-ohm range. Two modules may be daisy-chained when additional channels are required.
Configuration options include selectable 11-bit or 29-bit CAN identifiers, 250 kbps, 500 kbps, or 1 Mbps CAN bus speeds, and a selectable terminating resistor. The IP65-rated enclosure is dust-tight and water resistant for demanding automotive environments. A wiring harness with 36-inch flying leads and a pre-wired CAN cable is included. The AEM 30-2212 is compatible with AEM CD Dashes only; it can operate in parallel with third-party CAN devices on those dashes, but it is not compatible with the AEM AQ-1 Data Logger, Series 2 or Infinity ECUs, or third-party ECUs and data loggers.
Fitment: Designed for automotive applications using compatible AEM CD-5 Carbon or CD-7 Digital Dashes. Verify dash compatibility, wiring requirements, and sensor types before installation. This product is not emissions-certified for road use where applicable.
