AEM offers high quality stainless steel PSIa sensors in 15 (1BAR), 30 (2BAR), 50 (3.5BAR), 75 (5BAR) and 100 (7BAR). PSIa is referenced to absolute zero. Absolute zero is the pressure measurement when all the pressure exerted by the atmosphere has been removed. The most common use for absolute pressure sensors is reading manifold pressure. PSIa pressure sensors are required if you wish to measure vacuum. A PSIa sensor will read about 14.7 PSI when the sensing element is exposed to atmospheric pressure at sea level however they can be recalibrated to read zero at atmospheric and a negative number at values less than atmospheric pressure. 75 PSIa or 5 Bar Stainless Sensor Kit, Stainless Steel Sensor Body, 1/8-inch NPT Male Thread, Includes 75 PSIa or 5 Bar Stainless Sensor, Connector, Pins, 1/8-inch NPT to -4 Adapter & 1/8-inch NPT to 3/16-inch Barb Adapter
  • High-quality sealed sensor housings are virtually impervious to automotive fluids (360-degree welded wetted area)
  • Stainless-steel sensors accurate to within 1% of full scale (pressure sensors)
  • Analog Data Scaled in Charts
  • Connector and pins included

The AEM 30-2130-75 5 Bar MAP or 75 PSIa Stainless Steel Sensor Kit is designed for accurate manifold pressure and vacuum measurement in automotive applications. Its 75 PSIa, or 5 Bar, pressure range provides reliable readings across a broad operating window, making it suitable for engine management, data acquisition, and performance monitoring systems that require absolute pressure measurement.

Unlike gauge-referenced sensors, a PSIa sensor measures pressure from absolute zero. At sea level, the sensor typically reads approximately 14.7 PSI when exposed to atmospheric pressure. This absolute reference makes the AEM sensor particularly useful for applications where vacuum must be measured. The sensor may also be recalibrated to read zero at atmospheric pressure and provide negative readings below atmospheric pressure.

The sensor features a durable stainless-steel body and a sealed housing with a 360-degree welded wetted area. This construction helps protect the sensor from automotive fluids while maintaining accuracy within 1% of full scale. The kit includes the sensor, electrical connector, pins, and two adapters for flexible installation using either a -4 connection or a 3/16-inch hose barb. Analog data scaling is provided in charts to support proper system configuration and calibration.

Fitment: Universal automotive application; compatibility depends on the vehicle, engine management system, pressure range requirements, and available mounting provisions. Verify sensor input compatibility and calibration requirements before installation.
