AEM offers high quality stainless steel PSIa sensors in 15 (1BAR), 30 (2BAR), 50 (3.5BAR), 75 (5BAR) and 100 (7BAR). PSIa is referenced to absolute zero. Absolute zero is the pressure measurement when all the pressure exerted by the atmosphere has been removed. The most common use for absolute pressure sensors is reading manifold pressure. PSIa pressure sensors are required if you wish to measure vacuum. The AEM 30 PSIa (2 Bar) MAP Sensor Kit is designed for accurately measuring absolute manifold pressure in automotive applications. The AEM30-2130-30 sensor is sealed against fluids and built with a weather-resistant connector for dependable operation. At sea level, an absolute pressure sensor typically reads approximately 14.7 PSI when exposed to atmospheric pressure. The sensor may also be recalibrated to establish atmospheric pressure as zero, allowing negative readings when pressure falls below atmospheric levels.
