The AEM EV PDU-8 is an eight channel Power Distribution Unit expansion device that gives you the power to program and control various switched devices using our ECU/VCUs, like high-voltage contactors, cooling fans, headlights, brake lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, fuel pumps, and more. The ability to connect up to eight PDU-8s (four on AEM Dashes, and one on Infinity ECU's) on the same CAN bus network lets installers mount the individual PDUs closer to the subsystems they are controlling, which simplifies wiring, reduces weight, and increases reliability. This CAN-based solid-state control module eliminates the need to install fuses and relays for the switched functions that it operates. The PDU-8 can easily be controlled by other CAN based controllers that support custom CAN settings, such as Motec, Link, FuelTech, Haltech, etc. Does work with Holley EFI if using the AEM dash display for logic based control. The AEM EV PDU-8, Part Number 30-8300, is an eight-channel CAN-controlled Power Distribution Unit designed to manage switched electrical devices in internal-combustion and electric vehicle applications. It enables compatible ECU, VCU, dash, or other CAN-based controllers to activate and control devices such as high-voltage contactors, cooling fans, headlights, brake lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, fuel pumps, and other auxiliary systems.

Featuring four 20-amp and four 10-amp high-side 12-volt outputs, the AEM PDU-8 replaces conventional relays and fuses for the switched functions it operates. Its solid-state design improves packaging flexibility and helps simplify electrical architecture. Up to eight PDU-8 modules can be connected on the same CAN bus network when supported by the control system, allowing each unit to be mounted closer to the subsystem it controls. This can reduce wiring complexity, vehicle weight, and potential connection points.

The fully sealed, waterproof billet-aluminum enclosure supports installation in demanding automotive environments. The PDU-8 is CAN-commanded, so no separate logic programming is required for basic PDU operation. It can be controlled by CAN-based systems that support custom CAN settings, including select Motec, Link, FuelTech, and Haltech controllers. Holley EFI applications can use the PDU-8 when an AEM dash display provides logic-based control. The compact, lightweight module is well suited for motorsports, performance vehicles, and custom electrical systems.
