This filter features five layers of pre-oiled cotton gauze media to provide maximum performance. Its progressive layering allows the filter to flow at high levels even when dirty. This media is perfect for street and/or track use. Pro 5R filters are easily recharged with aFe's POWER CLEANER and blue air filter oil. aFe developed this sturdy 18-gauge steel wrinkle-black powder-coated heat shield to mount onto the top of the lower half of the factory airbox to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations. This system features a high quality, computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. Its XLPE material is heat soak resistant and extremely durable. This intake replaces the factory upper intake box. All hardware and components are included for a hassle-free installation. The aFe Rapid Induction Cold Air Intake System with Pro 5R Filter is designed for Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator applications with the 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel engine. It uses a washable and reusable five-layer, pre-oiled cotton gauze filter to support high airflow for street or track use. The progressive filter layering is designed to maintain airflow performance as the filter becomes dirty.

This intake system includes a computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube made from heat-soak-resistant XLPE material. A sturdy 18-gauge steel heat shield with a wrinkle-black powder-coated finish mounts to the lower half of the factory airbox using factory mounting locations. The system replaces the factory upper intake box and uses stainless steel clamps and a silicone coupler for installation. Measured flow is 380 CFM at 7 inches H2O, and the intake outflows the factory intake by 19%.
