Unlike performance chips that flash directly into the engine control module, the SCORCHER HD receives data from the ECM and appropriately alters the module signals. A four-position adjustment knob allows on-the-fly control from the cab, with settings for approximately +50 horsepower, +75 horsepower, +100 horsepower, and HOT IN mode for up to +140 horsepower. The module is also designed to enhance shift points and shift firmness for a more responsive automatic transmission.

Installation requires removal of the vehicle’s ECM cover, cleaning the port connections, and sliding the chip into the ECM. No cutting, splicing, or wiring modifications are required.
