The intake tube includes a billet aluminum fitting for the original-equipment vent hose and a built-in resonance chamber that helps control unwanted intake noise without eliminating the system’s deeper performance sound. A lightweight 5052-H32 aluminum heat shield helps separate the open-element filter from engine-bay heat while using factory mounting locations for a straightforward installation. The aggressive open-element layout also makes filter inspection convenient.

Included with the system is a washable and reusable aFe Pro 5R performance air filter designed for high-flow applications. The system has a measured flow rate of 760 CFM at 7 inches of water and is engineered to support gains of up to 13 horsepower and 12 lb.-ft. of torque, depending on vehicle configuration and operating conditions.
