Take direct control of your AMP Research PowerStep running boards with the AMP Research PowerStep Override Switch. Designed for use with systems equipped with the STA1 controller, this switch provides temporary manual control over step deployment and retraction. Deploy the running boards when washing your vehicle, or retract them before off-road driving when automatic operation is not preferred.

The AMP Research Part 79105-01A switch is wired directly to the PowerStep controller and installs conveniently on the vehicle dash. After manual operation, the system returns to automatic operation during the next door cycle or after 30 minutes, helping preserve the normal functionality of your PowerStep system. The switch fits AMP Research PowerStep kits except part numbers 75141-01A and 75134-01A.
