SwitchPath™ retains the factory valve behavior and obeys the TT RS’s ECU commands based on throttle input, engine speed, Drive Select, and the factory-issued exhaust button within the cabin. The AWE Tuning SwitchPath Exhaust is designed for the 2018–2022 Audi TT RS Quattro. This system combines smooth bends, tight packaging, and valve-controlled sound in a handcrafted exhaust engineered specifically for the TT RS five-cylinder platform. The valved passenger-side tip outlet retains factory valve behavior and responds to the vehicle’s ECU commands based on throttle input, engine speed, Drive Select, and the factory exhaust button.

Built from CNC mandrel-bent 3-inch and 2.5-inch U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel with .065-inch wall thickness, the exhaust uses a clean, straight-through design intended to maximize performance. AWE reports peak gains of 30 horsepower and 7 lb-ft of torque, with maximum gains of 30 horsepower and 25 lb-ft of torque at the wheels at 6,400 rpm. The system also saves 28.5 pounds compared with the stock exhaust and features a direct bolt-on installation design.

When the valve is closed, the exhaust is suited to quieter driving situations. Opening the valve or selecting Dynamic mode delivers the AWE exhaust tune with enhanced RS burbles.
