Using BORLA Stainless Steel Polish p# 21499 is NOT recommended with these black chrome tips. We suggest cleaning the tips with hot water and a microfiber cloth. Designed for 6.2L V8 models with automatic transmissions, two- or four-wheel drive, factory split rear exit exhaust, and the specified extended-cab or crew-cab configurations, this system delivers Borla’s aggressive ATAK sound with a clean, full-bodied tone.

The system uses Borla Polyphonic Harmonizer Technology, combining patented units with pipes of different diameters and lengths to create multiple exhaust notes that harmonize for a refined sound without excessive interior drone. A valve simulator is included to help prevent the Check Engine Light from illuminating. Borla straight-through and multi-core technology improves exhaust velocity for responsive performance, while smooth mandrel bends and precision CNC manufacturing support efficient flow and accurate installation.

Constructed from premium T-304 stainless steel, the Borla 140997BC provides excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. Dual black chrome T-304 stainless steel tips provide a distinctive appearance and require removal of the factory valance tips during installation. Do not use Borla Stainless Steel Polish part 21499 on the black chrome tips; clean them with hot water and a microfiber cloth instead. For a quieter S-Type sound, the Polyphonic Harmonizer behind the muffler can be replaced with Borla muffler 60679.

Fitment: Fits 2024-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 models equipped with the 6.2L V8 and automatic transmission, including extended cab with standard bed and crew cab with short bed configurations using the applicable factory split rear exit layout. This system does not fit ZR2 or AT4X models and fits factory split rear exit vehicles only. Crew cab models with a standard bed require Borla adapter 60706. Professional installation is recommended.
