The Borla ProXS universal muffler is designed for custom exhaust systems that require a compact, free-flowing muffler with a reversible center-inlet, center-outlet configuration. Borla Part 40364 features 2.5-inch inlet and outlet connections and an oval body engineered for flexible installation in a wide range of automotive applications. Its un-notched necks are intended for weld-in installation, while 3-inch wide band clamps, such as Borla 18004, can be used when a clamped installation is preferred.

Constructed from high-quality T-304 austenitic stainless steel, this Borla muffler provides excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. Its 100% welded construction supports reliable performance under demanding exhaust temperatures, while the free-flow design helps improve exhaust gas movement. High-temperature continuous-filament fiber acoustic material helps control sound without restricting exhaust flow. The natural mill finish may be brushed or polished before installation to complement a custom exhaust system.

This universal muffler has a reversible design, allowing the inlet and outlet orientation to be adapted during installation. Borla Part 40364 has a 14-inch body and 19-inch overall length in a 4-inch by 9.5-inch oval housing.
