The Borla ProXS Universal Muffler delivers efficient exhaust flow and controlled sound in a compact, reversible design. Part 40358 features a 2.5-inch offset inlet and 2.5-inch center outlet with un-notched necks intended for weld-in installation. Its universal configuration supports flexible placement in custom exhaust systems, while the reversible body allows the inlet and outlet orientation to be adapted to the installation.

Constructed from premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel, this Borla muffler provides excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The fully welded construction adds structural strength, and the free-flow internal design supports improved exhaust performance. High-temperature continuous-filament fiber acoustic material helps manage sound while maintaining durability under demanding exhaust temperatures. The natural mill finish can be brushed or polished before installation for a customized appearance.

For clamp-on installation, Borla recommends 3-inch-wide band clamps, part 18004; clamps are not included. The un-notched necks are optimized for welding, while the alternate Borla part 400480 uses notched necks and is intended for use with 1-inch-wide band clamps, part 18325. This universal automotive muffler is made in the USA and backed by Borla's Million-Mile Warranty. The product is not CARB approved and is intended for off-road, competition, or applications where applicable emissions regulations permit its use.
