Brembo always uses the same material for its aftermarket disc production as used by the original manufacturer. High Carbon cast iron, compared to the standard materials used offers a higher damping coefficient that decreases vibration and noise, improves brake behavior and ensures better driving comfort and better heat conduction properties that allows faster transfer of heat from the braking surfaces to other surfaces shortening cooling times. For Xtra discs special alloy high carbon materials are produced and tested to have greater resistance to the thermo-mechanical stress to which the brake disc is subjected

The Brembo OE breKT00414 front disc brake kit is designed for controlled stopping performance and driving comfort on select Mitsubishi Lancer applications. The kit combines Brembo high-carbon cast iron discs with Prime Ceramic brake pads to help reduce noise, vibration, friction wear and brake dust.

High-carbon cast iron provides a higher damping coefficient than standard materials, helping decrease vibration and noise while supporting consistent brake behavior and improved heat conduction. The Xtra disc material is produced and tested for greater resistance to the thermo-mechanical stress experienced during braking. Prime Ceramic pads are designed for lower noise, reduced vibration and lower dust emission to help keep wheel rims cleaner and reduce maintenance.
