The DEI 10529 Universal Muffler Shield Kit helps reduce radiant heat from street-legal vehicle mufflers located near floors, interiors, fuel systems, wiring, and other heat-sensitive components. Designed around DEI’s proven Floor and Tunnel heat-shield technology, this wrap-style shield provides a practical solution for managing muffler heat and improving cabin comfort.

The shield combines a dimpled aluminum outer layer with a needle-glass insulator to reflect and resist radiant heat. It can be trimmed for a close fit around most muffler shapes and secured with the included stainless steel positive-locking ties. The included locking tie tool helps create a tight, secure installation. By limiting heat transfer from the muffler, the DEI 10529 can help maintain a cooler interior and protect nearby components from damaging temperatures.
