DEI Floor and Tunnel Shield II is a lightweight thermal barrier designed to reflect and insulate against heat intrusion in vehicle interiors and component areas. The shield helps limit heat transfer around firewalls, transmission tunnels, floor pans, fuel cells, oil tank boxes and other areas where high temperatures are a concern. Its aluminum face must be positioned toward the heat source.

The shield is constructed with an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8 in. composite glass-fiber core and a high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. It withstands temperatures up to 1750°F, while the adhesive backing holds past 450°F. At only 3/16 in. thick, the material can be trimmed and formed around shapes and contours for installation where clearance is limited. Do not apply directly to exhaust components.

In addition to thermal protection, Floor and Tunnel Shield II helps guard against track and road debris and provides sound deadening. The peel-and-stick backing adheres to almost any surface or material, including metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, plastic and fiberglass. The 21 in. x 4 ft. sheet provides 7.0 square feet of coverage.
