It is constructed from high-temperature-resistant braided glass material woven into a sleeve and heavily coated with 100% iron oxide silicone rubber.

The sleeve provides protection from direct heat up to 500°F and withstands up to 2,000°F of intermittent heat. It can also be used to insulate wiring and hoses or to bundle and protect electrical wiring and other lines. The 3/8-inch inside diameter is suitable for the listed application sizes, with a 100-foot roll supplied on one spool.
