Part Number DEI95503 is well suited for firewalls, transmission tunnels, floor pans, fuel cell areas, oil tank boxes, engine compartments, and other locations where high temperatures are a concern. The reflective aluminum face must be installed toward the heat source and should not be applied directly to exhaust components.

Constructed with an embossed 10 mil aluminum face, a composite glass-fiber core, and high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, this barrier withstands direct temperatures up to 1,750 degrees F. The adhesive remains secure beyond 450 degrees F when properly installed on a clean, suitable surface. Its thin, flexible construction can be formed and trimmed around contours, making it practical for tight-clearance applications while also helping reduce unwanted road, tire, and engine noise.

Floor & Tunnel Shield II adheres to many materials, including metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, plastic, fiberglass, and painted surfaces. The rigid, multifaceted aluminum surface improves heat reflection and installation control, while the glass-fiber construction provides additional protection against road and track debris. This universal automotive heat shield is supplied as a 10-inch by 10-inch section covering approximately 0.83 square feet. Apply by trimming to shape, peeling the backing, and firmly bonding the shield to the prepared surface.
