The EBC DP31942C pads feature an integrated Brake-In surface coating that conditions the brake rotor and helps accelerate the bedding process. Their nominal friction coefficient is approximately 0.5, with about 50% less dust than semi-metallic pads. Testing has shown the Redstuff compound can stop a passenger car, sport compact, or hot hatch up to 43 feet sooner than OEM pads from 100 mph, subject to vehicle, tire, road, and operating conditions.

Because Redstuff is a hard-wearing performance compound, complete bedding may require up to 1,000 miles of normal driving. Drivers should allow time for the pads to conform to the brake rotor surface before expecting peak performance. Most EBC Redstuff pads are approved to the ECE R90 brake safety regulation. This set is intended for rear brake applications and includes one vehicle-specific pad set.
