The EBC S5K-R1204 S5 Kit combines high-friction Yellowstuff brake pads with GD Series sport rotors for responsive, consistent street braking. This matched brake upgrade is engineered for drivers who want stronger brake performance without purchasing the pads and rotors separately. The pads feature an EBC GG friction rating, chamfered edges, slots, shims, and patented EBC Brake-In coating to promote fast bedding and smooth operation.

The included EBC GD Series rotors use wide-aperture slots and precision drilling to help evacuate brake dust, gases, water, and debris from the friction surface. The rotors are fully balanced and runout tested for smooth braking, then protected with a Thermic Black anti-corrosion coating for extended resistance to rust. Do not remove the coating before installation. It is designed to wear away naturally from the pad contact area during the first several stops.

For proper brake balance, do not install upgraded rear pads unless the same level of upgrade is installed on the front axle. EBC recommends following the vehicle manufacturer’s installation procedures and completing a proper bedding process after installation. This kit includes a 10,000-mile no-hassle warranty and is intended for select Mini Cooper applications, including the 2007–2009 Mini Convertible (R52) with the 1.6L Turbo Works Package and other listed fitments.
