The Fidanza fid130891 Aluminum Flywheel is designed to reduce rotating mass and help free additional horsepower. Its lightweight construction is 40–60 percent lighter than stock, contributing to quicker acceleration, lower moment of inertia, and faster throttle response.

The flywheel features a billet 6061-T6 or 2024-T4 aluminum body, a heat-treated friction plate for grip and service life, and military-spec fasteners for strength and reliability. The friction plate bolts on for replacement, while the hardened 1050 steel ring gear is also replaceable. Stepped dowels are used on most applications.
