FMF Racing FMF045590 Hex Q4 S/A Muffler

A 4-Stroke header system that incorporates FMF's patented Power Bomb module at a precise location in the initial stage of the header system; by positioning the "Bomb" at this key point, the expansion and contraction of exhaust sonics through the system resulting in a flow increase of nearly 10%. The surface of the perforated core lets the sound exit into the absorbing material (steel wool packing) and then allows the air to expand, cool and ramp back up at higher air pressures (RPMs). The Power Bomb is a "pre-muffler" of sorts, which helps to lower the bike's sound output because it provides more sound-absorbing surface area to allow the exhaust gases to become absorbed.

The FMF Racing FMF045590 Hex Q4 S/A Muffler is a 4-stroke header system incorporating FMF's patented Power Bomb module at a precise location in the initial stage of the header system. Positioning the Power Bomb at this point is designed to manage the expansion and contraction of exhaust sonics through the system, resulting in a flow increase of nearly 10%.

The perforated core allows sound to exit into the absorbing steel wool packing, helping the exhaust gases expand, cool, and ramp back up at higher air pressures and RPMs. The Power Bomb also functions as a pre-muffler, providing additional sound-absorbing surface area to help lower the bike's sound output. The product is EPA compliant.

Key Features & Performance Benefits

• Power Bomb module: Positioned in the initial header stage to help manage exhaust flow.
• Flow increase: The system is designed to provide a flow increase of nearly 10%.
• Sound absorption: Perforated-core construction allows sound to enter the absorbing material.
• Pre-muffler function: Additional sound-absorbing surface area helps lower exhaust sound output.
