Floating through terrain is accomplished with FOX’s ride zone – combining a race-developed shock piston, internal bypass and Dual Speed Compression adjustment – allowing fine tuning for weight, terrain and speed. FOX combines race-proven development with advanced internal bypass technology to help the shock deliver controlled performance across high-speed desert terrain, technical trails, and challenging off-camber climbs.

Its patented internal bypass design allows oil to flow around the piston through different portions of the stroke, creating progressive damping support throughout suspension travel. The FOX ride zone combines a race-developed piston, internal bypass technology, and Dual Speed Compression adjustment to help fine-tune suspension response for vehicle weight, terrain, and driving speed. This rear right coilover shock is rebuildable and serviceable, with custom valving options available for specialized applications.

Built for harsh environments, the shock features a durable aluminum body, remote reservoir configuration, and a 7/8-inch shaft with redundant seals. FOX’s proprietary Cerakote protective ceramic coating is applied over a zinc-plated basecoat for added corrosion and wear resistance. Additional construction details include JM92 MIL-SPEC off-road racing oil, a 17-4 H900 hard-chrome-plated stainless steel shaft, and black-anodized CNC-machined aluminum components.
