Application specific valving to maximize performance. Uncompromised performance through FOX’s patented internal bypass technology delivers the feel of near-endless suspension travel. Exclusive internal bypass technology allows oil to flow around the piston at some points of the stroke – while creating humongous pressure at other points – supporting the vehicle like no other product can. Floating through terrain is accomplished with FOX’s ride zone – combining a race-developed shock piston, internal bypass and Dual Speed Compression adjustment – allowing fine tuning for weight, terrain and speed. Dominate any terrain with the brute strength of 3- and 2.5-inch aluminum bodies, cactus cooler reservoirs and 7/8” shafts with redundant seals, all proven in the harshest of environments under the toughest of conditions.

The FOX Factory Series rear shock set is engineered for 2004–2008 Ford F-150 4WD applications with stock height to a 1.5-inch lift. Developed from FOX off-road race shocks, this system brings race-proven damping technology and application-specific valving to your truck for improved ride quality, control, and performance across demanding terrain. The rear shocks feature Dual Speed Compression adjustment, allowing the damping characteristics to be fine-tuned for vehicle weight, terrain, and driving speed.

FOX patented internal bypass technology is designed to provide controlled suspension performance throughout the shock stroke. Oil flow is managed around the piston in designated zones, helping deliver a compliant feel over smaller impacts while increasing support during larger suspension events. The internal bypass design works with the race-developed piston and ride zone to provide predictable handling and near-endless suspension control.

Built for severe off-road use, these shocks combine durable aluminum bodies, external reservoirs, and robust 7/8-inch shafts with redundant seals. The external reservoir system helps dissipate heat quickly during repeated impacts, supporting consistent damping performance. Black anodized CNC-machined aluminum components and zinc-plated seamless alloy bodies provide long-term durability in demanding environments.
