Application specific valving to maximize performance. DSC EVO features Variable Valve Control (VVC) on the high-speed circuit. Unlike most compression adjusters that rely on adding preload, VVC adjusts leverage to isolate high-speed from low-speed damping precisely. The result is more comfort, independent high and low-speed circuits, and increased capacity for big hits. Add clicks of high-speed compression without sacrificing small-bump sensitivity.

The FOX Performance Elite DSC EVO Front Shock, Part Number FOX883-06-253, is engineered for the 2025 and newer Toyota 4Runner, 2024 and newer Lexus GX550, and 2024 and newer Toyota Land Cruiser with a 1-3 inch lift. Developed from FOX off-road race shocks, this application-specific damper delivers race-proven control, improved ride quality, and strong damping performance for demanding street, trail, and off-road use.

The DSC EVO system uses Variable Valve Control (VVC) on the high-speed compression circuit. Unlike conventional compression adjusters that add preload, VVC changes leverage to precisely separate high- and low-speed damping characteristics. This allows drivers to add high-speed compression control for large impacts while retaining small-bump sensitivity and everyday comfort. The external reservoir helps dissipate heat quickly, supporting consistent performance during extended use.

FOX builds this Performance Elite shock with black anodized CNC-machined aluminum components and a durable zinc-plated seamless alloy body. Application-specific valving is tuned to maximize performance on compatible vehicles, while the front-shock configuration is designed for lifted suspension setups.
