The FOX Performance Series 980-24-645 rear shock is engineered for Jeep TJ applications equipped with a 4-6 inch lift. Its vehicle-specific valving improves on-road comfort, reduces body sway, and delivers predictable control during off-road driving. Designed for demanding trail use, this smooth-body IFP shock helps extend rear suspension drop-out travel in compatible applications while maintaining a connected, performance-focused ride.

A true internal floating piston separates high-pressure nitrogen gas from shock oil to provide consistent, fade-resistant damping. The aluminum body dissipates heat faster than conventional steel construction, while the race-developed main piston and redundant sealing system support reliable performance in harsh environments. Black-anodized, CNC-machined aluminum components, heat-treated spherical bearings with Teflon liners, and a durable powder-coated seamless alloy body provide long-term durability.

The FOX Performance Series shock is fully serviceable and tunable, allowing it to be rebuilt or adjusted for extended service life. Modifications may be required for installation, and professional installation is recommended to confirm proper clearance, suspension travel, and fitment.
