The FOX Performance Series shock uses a race-developed main piston, FOX Racing oil, and an internal floating piston to separate oil from high-pressure nitrogen gas. This design helps maintain consistent, fade-resistant performance under demanding conditions. The aluminum shock body dissipates heat faster than conventional steel, while black-anodized, CNC-machined aluminum components provide durability and corrosion resistance. An external reservoir further improves heat management, and the included aluminum reservoir clamp supports a secure installation.

Additional performance features include a heavy-duty hard-chrome shaft and hourglass bushings that allow increased suspension articulation. The FOX Performance Series 985-24-115 is fully serviceable and built for long-term use in harsh environments.
