The FOX Performance Series 985-24-153 smooth body IFP rear shock is engineered for 2017-2018 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD trucks equipped with a 4-6 inch lift. Application-specific valving helps maximize suspension performance, delivering a comfortable on-road ride, reduced vehicle sway, and predictable handling during off-road driving. By extending available drop-out travel in most applications, this rear shock helps increase off-road capability while maintaining a connected, controlled feel.

Designed for consistent performance under demanding conditions, the FOX Performance Series shock uses an aluminum body to dissipate heat faster than conventional steel construction. A race-developed main piston and true internal floating piston separate the oil from high-pressure nitrogen gas, helping reduce aeration and maintain fade-resistant damping. Redundant sealing and corrosion-resistant materials support reliable operation in harsh environments.

The FOX 985-24-153 is fully serviceable and tunable, allowing the shock to be maintained or adjusted for long-term use. Black anodized CNC-machined aluminum components, heat-treated spherical bearings with Teflon lining, and a durable powder-coated seamless alloy body provide strength for trail, work, and recreational applications. This product is designed as an automotive suspension component and is not CARB approved. California Proposition 65 warning applies.
