The FOX Performance Series FOX987-24-002 is a front smooth-body shock engineered for 2017 and newer Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty applications equipped with a 2–3.5 inch suspension lift. Its application-specific valving is tuned to provide a controlled, connected ride on the road while improving handling and stability during demanding off-road use. The shock helps reduce vehicle sway and delivers predictable damping across changing terrain and driving conditions.

Designed for consistent performance, the FOX987-24-002 uses a 2.5-inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body that dissipates heat efficiently and resists corrosion in harsh environments. A race-developed main piston, high-flow velocity-sensitive damping, and an internal floating piston separate gas from oil to help maintain fade-resistant performance during extended use. The hydraulic top-out piston further supports controlled suspension movement and improved ride quality.

FOX builds this Performance Series shock to be fully serviceable, rebuildable, and re-tunable, allowing long-term maintenance and performance optimization. The 5/8-inch hard chrome shaft provides durable operation, while the Type II clear-anodized finish adds protection to the shock body.
