The FOX Performance Series FOX987-24-055 rear shock is designed for 2005–2016 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty applications equipped with a 2–3.5-inch suspension lift. It combines application-specific valving with race-proven damping control to improve off-road capability while maintaining a comfortable, controlled ride on pavement. Extended drop-out travel helps the suspension perform over demanding terrain, while the vehicle-specific tune helps reduce sway and maintain a connected feel.

Consistent performance comes from a 2.5-inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body, high-flow velocity-sensitive damping, and an internal floating piston (IFP) that separates gas from oil. The hydraulic top-out (HTO) piston helps control suspension extension, while the 5/8-inch hard chrome shaft provides durable operation in demanding environments. The Type II clear-anodized finish improves corrosion resistance, and the aluminum construction dissipates heat efficiently to help minimize performance fade.

Built for long-term service, the FOX Performance Series shock is fully rebuildable and re-tunable. Its corrosion-resistant construction is suitable for harsh conditions, and its race-developed design delivers dependable damping for towing, trail use, and everyday driving. This rear shock is intended for the specified Ford Super Duty fitments and should be installed according to the vehicle and suspension manufacturer’s recommendations.
