The FOX Performance Series FOX987-24-023 rear shock is engineered for 2017 and newer Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks equipped with a 6–8 inch suspension lift. Its application-specific valving is tuned to improve ride control, reduce vehicle sway, and deliver predictable handling both on the road and during demanding off-road driving.

The smooth-body shock uses a 2.5-inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body for efficient heat dissipation and consistent, fade-resistant performance. High-flow, velocity-sensitive damping helps the shock respond to changing terrain, while the internal floating piston separates gas and oil to maintain controlled operation. A hydraulic top-out piston further supports suspension control through extended travel and demanding suspension cycles.

Built for long-term service, the FOX987-24-023 features a Type II clear-anodized finish, corrosion-resistant construction, and a 5/8-inch hard-chrome shaft. The shock is fully rebuildable and re-tunable, allowing it to be serviced and adjusted as needed over its service life. FOX Performance Series shocks are designed to provide a comfortable on-road ride while increasing off-road capability and maintaining reliable control in harsh environments.
