The K&N Engineering RC-1824 Universal Chrome Oval Tapered Air Filter is designed to improve airflow for stronger horsepower, sharper acceleration, and more responsive throttle performance. Its chrome-plated exterior provides a clean, durable finish, while the tapered oval design supports installation in a variety of powersports applications.

Built with multiple layers of washable and reusable cotton gauze media, this K&N air filter provides excellent filtration and high dust-holding capacity for demanding riding conditions. The pleated filter media creates a large filtration area to support extended service intervals, and the precision sealing bead helps provide a secure fit when properly matched to the intake system. Most filters are pre-oiled and ready to install, and no fuel-management modifications are required to obtain the intended performance benefits.

It is designed for select Kawasaki applications, including the 1984 Kawasaki ZX550 GPz, 1985 Kawasaki ZX550 GPz, 1985–1989 Kawasaki ZX600 Ninja 600R, 1990 Kawasaki ZX600 Ninja 600R, and 1982–1983 Kawasaki KZ550D/H GPz.
