K&N's Universal Air Filters are designed and manufactured for a wide variety of applications including racing vehicles, radio-controlled cars, generators, snowmobiles, tractors, and other applications. Regardless of the angle or offset diameter of the air intake, there is probably a K&N Universal air filter for your equipment. All filters are constructed with ultra-strong molded pliable rubber flanges which absorb vibration and allow for secure attachment and can also be stretched for up to 1/16 of an inch (1.5mm) to fit in-between sizes. The K&N Engineering RU-5138 Universal Clamp-On Air Filter is designed for a broad range of automotive, powersports, motorsports, generator, tractor, snowmobile, and other equipment applications. Its universal design accommodates air intake systems with varying angles and offset diameters, making it a practical solution when a direct-fit replacement is not available. The filter uses a molded, pliable rubber flange that helps absorb vibration and provides a secure connection to the intake tube.

The flexible flange can stretch slightly to accommodate in-between sizes, helping simplify installation across compatible intake systems. The washable and reusable filter element is designed for long-term service when maintained with the appropriate K&N filter care products. For added protection in dusty or wet environments, the optional K&N 22-8049DK Air Filter Wrap may be used. The K&N 99-5000 Filter Care Service Kit Aerosol is also available for cleaning and re-oiling.

Fitment: Listed applications include the 2007 Chrysler Aspen; 2008-2013 BMW M3; 2014-2015 BMW 435i; 2010-2012 BMW M3; 2009 BMW M3; 2011 Chevrolet Equinox; and other equipment with a compatible intake connection.
