Overview
The Lucas Lighting M-3157 is an M Series LED replacement bulb with a 3157 dual-output base, available in white, switchback, or red. It's designed for dual-function positions such as reverse and turn signal/marker lights, with a lower-output mode for constantly-on functions (like a corner marker) and a high-output mode when the second circuit is engaged (turn signal active).

Switchback Option
The switchback version is intended for the front of the vehicle: the marker light illuminates in white, then changes to traditional amber when the turn signal is engaged — combining a clean white marker with a compliant amber turn signal in a single bulb.

High-Output CANBUS Design
The M Series uses fewer but much higher-power LED chipsets positioned as closely as possible to the original bulb's filament location, producing a proper beam pattern from the housing. Updated CANBUS technology delivers compatibility with over 99% of vehicles without triggering bulb-out errors, and in turn signal applications eliminates the need to add load resistors to correct fast-blinking (hyper-flash) issues.
