The National Cycle SwitchBlade Shorty windshield is designed for 2006-2008 and 2010-2017 Harley-Davidson FXDWG motorcycles. Its 4.0 mm thick Lexan® polycarbonate screen features Quantum™ hard coating for enhanced scratch resistance and provides substantially greater impact resistance than acrylic or Lucite® plastic windshields.

The windshield uses stainless steel mount brackets and mount spools for quick removal. A National Cycle Quick-Release Mount Kit, sold separately, is required for installation and allows the shield to be removed without tools. Hardware is made from thick-gauge material with beveled-edge detailing and a high-polish or bright-chrome finish. The manufacturer provides a three-year warranty against breakage.
