The body, reservoir and components are all made from 6061 T6 aluminum, Type 3 40 micron hard anodized ensuring exceptional heat dissipation, corrosion resistance and resistance to stone damage. Not only designed, developed and tested entirely by ARB's team of Old Man Emu ride engineers, all BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house by ARB. The Old Man Emu BP-51 shock absorber brings racing-derived bypass technology to everyday driving and off-road adventures. Developed and tested by ARB's Old Man Emu ride engineers in Australia, this position-sensitive shock absorber is designed to provide ride comfort around town, chassis control off road and increased end-zone damping. The remote reservoir increases oil capacity to help maintain lower operating temperatures during demanding use.

Its 51mm internal bore, internal bypass technology and adjustable damping allow the shock absorber to be tuned for different conditions and vehicle setups. Compression and rebound damping each offer 10 adjustment levels, providing a broad range of performance settings. The body, reservoir and components are made from 6061-T6 aluminum with Type 3 40-micron hard anodizing for heat dissipation, corrosion resistance and resistance to stone damage. The shock absorber is designed to bolt onto the vehicle without vehicle modifications.
