The Rancho RS5000X RS55281 front suspension shock absorber is designed for 2002-2007 Dodge Ram 1500 applications. Its exclusive rebound valving system and advanced compression functionality help improve handling and performance on and off the road.

The shock features a low-friction, self-lubricating seal, application-specific piston, 16 mm nitro-carburized piston rod, 35 mm sintered iron piston, double-welded loops, and a protective polyvinyl boot. A large twin-tube body filled with all-weather fluid supports cooler operation and is designed to withstand internal temperatures from -40°F to 248°F.

Rancho’s Compression Control Valve and Progressive Engagement Valving are custom-tuned for each vehicle to help regulate fluid transfer, absorb impacts, reduce initial low-speed harshness, and maintain shock motion control. Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI helps minimize air-to-oil mixing, foaming, and damping performance fade. The shock also includes a polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings to help absorb ride harshness. It comes with Rancho’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
