The Stoptech CRYO-STOP rear rotor is designed for selected Subaru and Scion applications. It features a symmetric vane and split-core casting to support uniform heat distribution, along with a black E-Coat non-friction surface for corrosion protection. The friction surface is double-disc ground to promote consistent performance and service life.

Deep cryogenic treatment is a one-time process intended to reduce residual stress and improve the wear characteristics of metal components. Additional design features include resistance to cracks from thermal stress, increased initial bite and wet-weather response, and slots that help evacuate gases, dust and heat. The rotor is described as a direct OE replacement.
